Abhinav Silk Private Limited, Ranchi, Jharkhand is a professionally managed company. It is promoted by Prity Kumar and Mr. Dhirendra Kumar. Company promotes Indian Tasar Silk and caters to the whole value chain.

We procure Tasar cocoons from Raw Material Bank, Central Silk Board Chaibasa, West Singhbhum, Bahragora and Reshamdoots of Kuchai, Kharsawan and Goelkera.
Abhinav Silk provides pure, authentic tasar silk to it’s customer at a reasonable rates. We take care of rearers, reelers, spinners, weavers and artisans at the same time. Abhinav silk is supporting more than 700 families in the whole value chain of tasar silk.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

MRS. PRITY KUMAR (M.A. LLB.) : She is a Social Worker and has worked as District Programmer Officer in Jharkhand Education Department. She has extensively worked on the development of women & girl child education. She serves as Managing Director of the company and doesn’t take any salary or honorarium from the company. Besides managing the company she also serves for the poor and the underprivileged of the state of Jharkhand.

SRI DHIRENDRA KUMAR : An retired IFS Officer served as a special secretary, Department of Industry, Govt. of Jharkhand for 9 years. Besides this during his tenure he also held the charge as Director of Sericulture, Handloom & Handicraft, Govt. of Jharkhand. Mr. Kumar was the founder M.D. of Jharcraft, a state government undertaking and served the organization steadily for 9 years. During his tenure as Director of Sericulture production of Tasar silk increased from 90 MT/year in 2000-07 to more than 2200 MT/year in 2014-15 an increase of more than 24 times. During his tenure, Jharkhand not only became the single largest producer of Tasar Silk in the country, contributing to more than 70% of the country’s production but also an Exporter of “Organic” Certified Tasar silk. Mr. Kumar is currently serving as Director of the Company.

SRI GANGA HANSDA : Sri Hansda is a Sericulture scientist. He retired as Scientists ‘D’ from Central Silk Board. With his vast experience in managing Tasar Silk value chain, he has served the State Sericulture Department as Joint Director for about 5 years. He was closely associated with the meteoric rise of Sericulture in the state of Jharkhand. He currently serves as a Chief Executive Officer of the company.

SRI V.K GADHYAN : Mr.Gadhyan a seasoned Charted Accountant with an experience of more than three decades serving as an Auditor to the company.

PRABHAKAR : Highly energetic and committed Software/IT professional to put in use 14 years of diverse learning with strong social background and practical exposure on Data Analytics, Digital marketing, Financial reporting and manging Customer-Client relationship. Worked and conducted skill development, vocational trainings, livelihood and financial literacy programs for SSRDP, Art of Living in Jharkhand. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer to the company.

Production Centres

  • Sikni Cluster
    Abhinav Silk Pvt. Ltd., Ranchi has set up a silk cluster at village - Sikni, block – Dulmi, Dist – Ramgarh. This centre is above 70 kms from Ranchi.
    We have installed 60 solar powered reeling cum-twisting machines. These machines are used for production of warp and weft quality tasar yarn. We have in house facility for the weaving of silk fabrics. We have installed Dobby and Jacquards on handlooms for the production of designs in fabric.
    Can accommodate 200 women in this centre.
  • Weaving Centre at Kajri, & Tapin in Hazaribagh District
    Consisting of 25 handlooms in Kajri and Tapin centre produces silk fabric for our organization and accommodates 50 women.
  • Cotton Weaving Centre, Nagari, Ranchi
    Our cotton weaving is done at Nagari PWCS, Ranchi, supported by 20 looms in the society.
  • Cotton Weaving centre, Pokharikala, Latehar District
    Fine cotton weaving and traditional Tribal fabrics are weaved in this centre consisting of more than 200 weavers in the cluster. They also weave carpets and blankets.
  • Silk Weaving Centres in Bhagaiya, Godda District
    Our designs are also weaved by Sarwan Silk and Simran Silk groups of Bhagaiya, Dist – Godda
